CPCS is helping to reduce pressure on GP appointments.
CPCS is now well established across Greater Manchester which is helping to reduce pressure on GP appointments and further encourages patients to self-manage their health and promote the use of pharmacies as a first point of contact for minor illness symptoms.
The more patients willing and accepting of consulting a pharmacist first or allowing us to refer to this service means we are better able to offer a same day appointment with the most appropriate health care professional for the patients' needs and most importantly free up appointments with our GPs for those with more complex needs.
